What Guests Are Saying (1355)

Went there for a family gathering after a funeral. They got us in a little earlier than the time they usually open. Food was great, price was great, staff was very friendly.

This is a great restaurant and a local institution. They have a really big menu and it often is overwhelming. My daughter and I went for lunch and I’m glad we came. She got the usual chicken fingers and French Fries. She said their chicken fingers are excellent but fries were maybe a 5/10. I got the Mediterranean salad which was excellent. I was really surprised with how good it was. Their portions are generous.

Very good food. My server was extremely friendly and the food was 10/10. We had a bourbon burger, an Als burger, and crab stuffed mushrooms and all of it was phenomenal. The atmosphere was very cool sports bar like vibe but at the same time it was a classy nice restaurant. It's hard to describe but definitely worth a visit. Updated visit: the host that we spoke to on the phone was EXTREMELY rude when asked what time closing was. She told us 9pm and immediately hung up the phone. Other than that strange experience everything else was still just as great as last time. We had a Philly cheese steak and a pulled pork sandwich both of them were delicious. Very clean but small men's bathroom. It smelled fresh like cleaner.

It’s always crowded I just moved back to BP This is my 1st time at Al’s cafe That’s a knife and fork burger 3rd time that has happened And the bun was not toasted that needs fixed for all the burgers And if i can make a suggestion Add venison to the menu It’s a log cabin style restaurant when you walk in Pennsylvania has a deer problem so during hunting season add venison to the menu The menu is off the charts there’s a lot to choose from We have a lot of hunters in south western Pa so a game menu would be good A rabbit rattlesnake appetizer would be great Keep the REESE'S desert on the menu

I always go to firebirds on Sunday. Al’s was so much cheaper and I got a lot more food. Service was great. I just couldn’t believe that I got an appetizer, 2 dinners both included salad and a side and 2 bottles of wine for the price. Crab cakes are huge. I couldn’t even finish 1 of them. Food was delicious.

Went for the first time tonight. We had a party of 13 to celebrate a birthday . There were different appetizers. My favorites were breaded zucchini with marinara & the warm spinach dip . Since the zucchini was so good, I ordered the zucchini with alfredo & provolone with a side of veggies. The portions were huge!

A great place for any meal. Had lunch with a friend . Lunch salad and soup for both. Apple walnut for me Pecan chicken for her. Great service. Always busy. Little noisy but easy to talk
